Guam – Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo has announced that she is now accepting applications for the 4 U.S. Service Academies.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Congresswoman’s District Office in Hagatna by December 1st.
The Congresswoman encourages high school seniors to take advantage of the opportunity saying in a release that “many young men and women from Guam have graduated from these fine institutions, and they now serve proudly as officers in our armed forces.”

Bordallo Accepting Applications for Nominations to Service Academies
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 25, 2013 – Washington, D.C. –
Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that she is accepting applications for a Congressional nomination from students interested in attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York; the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado; or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. Complete application packages must be delivered to the Congresswoman’s Guam District Office by December 1, 2013.
Candidates interested in applying for a Service Academy nomination must be a U.S. citizen between the ages of 17 and 23, be unmarried without dependents, and not pregnant. Candidates must also have a solid academic record, have taken or plan to take the ACT or SAT, and submit three letters of recommendation. Applications must be submitted by December 1, 2013 to Congresswoman Bordallo’s District Office at 120 Father Duenas Avenue, Suite 107, Hagåtña, Guam, 96910.
