Boy found along shoreline dies; GPD investigating

The Guam Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation in regards to a 2-year-old boy found by the Alupang Beach Tower shoreline.

Preliminary reports suggest that on Monday, April 12, 2021, at around 7:30 pm, officers assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command responded to a missing child at Alupang Beach, across the East Hagatna Mobil Gas Station.

As officers were en route, information was aired that the child was found by GFD personnel by the Alupang Beach Tower shoreline.

The child was immediately transported to Guam Memorial Hospital as CPR was being performed.

The child was later pronounced deceased by attending physicians at GMH.

Detectives assigned to GPD’S Criminal Investigation Division were activated to assume the investigation.

This case remains open.
