Guam – Andersen Air Force Base Sarg. Mike Andriacco reports that Andersen’s gates have re-opened after a fake bomb threat was called in. No bomb found.
The all clear was given at 3:03 pm this afternoon.
The base was put on lock-down for a couple of hours after the threat was called in. No traffic was allowed in or out.
According to a release from Sarg. Andriacco:
“Due to a bomb threat, Andersen Air Force Base is currently in a heightened security posture as of 1 p.m. today. Base personnel were ordered to shelter-in-place while base officials called in explosive ordnance disposal experts from here to investigate the threat. Andersen Air Force Base was declared “all clear” and returned to normal operations as of 3 p.m.”
