Despite challenges impacting many businesses on the island, Sure Stay Hotel, National Car Rental, Alamo, and Enterprise Car Rental donated hot meals to feed frontline heroes at GMH.

With the rise in COVID-19 cases and the amount of COVID hospitalizations overwhelming the Guam Memorial Hospital, a number of businesses came together to feed our frontline heroes.

Despite challenges impacting many businesses on the island, Sure Stay Hotel, National Car Rental, Alamo, and Enterprise Car Rental donated hot meals to feed frontline heroes at GMH.

Johanna Cruz, the operations manager of Sure Stay Hotel, says a total of 70 meals were contributed to help heroes have one less thing to worry about.

Sure Stay Hotel General Manager Cita Tomada says that business has not been slow and thanks the heroes serving the island.

In an interview with PNC, Tomada explains why the gesture was done.

“It’s an act of kindness. We want to be a role model for our business community on the island. We wanted to share a gesture with our front liners at GMH because we know that being a nurse isn’t easy,” Tomada said.

Tomada added that in the near future they plan to provide hot meals to frontline heroes at GRMC and families impacted by the pandemic.

She understands the trying times we are all facing and urges many businesses to donate whatever they can.
