Guam – The Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities announces a call for nominations for individuals to serve as committee chairs of the various programs to be offered during the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts to be held in Guam in 2016. The five committees include the Visual Arts; Performing Arts; Literary Arts; Traditional Arts, Demonstrations and Exhibits; and Forums, Seminars and Workshops.
CAHA Board Chair Monica Guzman stated the disciplines came about from recommendations made by artists, cultural practitioners and community stakeholders during several programming meetings facilitated by CAHA at the Guam Community College. The recommendations were later ratified by the Festival Organizing Committee. As Guam prepares to host approximately 2,500 delegates from 25 island nations during the festival, finalization of the two-week program is an essential component to planning an event of such magnitude.
Interested parties must submit a letter of interest and resume to the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities by Thursday, April 4, 2013. Documents may be delivered directly to CAHA located at the Terlaje Professional Building, 1st Floor in Hagåtña or sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
