Guam – More than 100 people, from all walks of life joined the transition team to the Calvo Tenorio administration. Governor-elect Eddie Calvo and Lt. Governor-elect Ray Tenorio made the announcement this afternoon. The members of the 11 subcommittees come from different backgrounds and expertise.
“This group is as diverse as they come, and I’m proud and humbled by that. I want to thank all the members of this team, for answering the call to serve our island, and bringing their expertise to the table to make our government better for our people,” Governor-elect Calvo said. “There are many challenges ahead, but with the great leadership in this team, Lt. Governor-elect Tenorio and I are confident the transition to our administration will be smooth.”
The team includes private sector professionals, civil servants and several former elected officials, including Congressman Robert Underwood and Sen. Lou Leon Guerrero. People from different ethnic, political and religious backgrounds and from a wide range of ages were chosen to represent the diversity of the community.
“Our campaign was about uniting our people toward a common good. This team celebrates that ideal and will certainly live up to it,” Lt. Governor-elect Ray Tenorio said. “This team will continue to work with Governor Camacho and his administration as we prepare to serve our island in Adelup.”
The Calvo-Tenorio transition team is comprised of 11 subcommittees. The members are comprised of professional leaders of our island with extensive expertise in the committee they are part of.
