Calvo/Tenorio Outspends Gutierrez/Gumataotao by $1 Million To Date


Guam – Preliminary campaign contribution and expenditure reports for the 2014 Primary Election have been filed. PNC visited the Guam Election Commission today to see who the top spenders are this election season.



The Calvo/Tenorio campaign has out spent their rivals by more than a million dollars so far this election season. According to documents submitted to the Guam Election Commission by Wednesday’s deadline Incumbents Eddie Calvo and Ray Tenorio spent $1,091,567.66 cents leading up to next week’s primary. Carl Gutierrez and Gary Gumataotao to date have spent $33,618.61 towards their campaign.


The Calvo Tenorio team has also raised more than $1,152,000 in campaign contributions while former Governor Gutierrez and his running mate have brought in only $55,300.


In the senatorial elections Dennis Rodriguez Jr is the top spender for the Democratic Party with $86,867 in expenditures. He’s followed by Frank Aguon Jr who’s spent $41,348 on his campaign.


On the Republican ballot newcomer Glenn Leon Guerrero and incumbent Brant McCreadie have spent the most with Leon Guerrero’s campaign reporting $44,493 in expenditures and McCreadie reporting $33,925.


The primary election will be held on Saturday August 30th.
