“These men and women are heroes, protecting our freedom in the face of danger,” Governor-elect Calvo said. “I came to personally thank them for serving our island and our country, and to let them know our administration knows just how important the Guam National Guard is to the security and safety of our island.”
“Many of these soldiers and airmen have done multiple tours on the battlefield, but they also have helped Guam tremendously. I can’t thank the Guam National Guard enough for the efforts over the years to rebuild the island after countless natural disasters,” Lt. Governor-elect Tenorio added. “Our guardsmen show our nation we are patriotic, and spread the Hafa Adai spirit wherever they go.”
