Calvo’s Insurance closing office due to COVID-19 ‘close contact’

Calvo’s Insurance issued a release Tuesday morning, saying they’re temporarily closing the Automobile and Homeowners Insurance department for several days.

The company says they’re taking this precautionary measure due to close contacts that were reported to them Monday afternoon. Precautionary actions include testing of employees, assistance with contact tracing, and professional deep-cleaning sanitation of their offices.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, as an essential business, Calvo’s Insurance implemented stringent protocols in its office to include the requirement that employees wear face masks, practice and enforce social distancing, and queue customers six feet apart. To further help mitigate the risk of spreading the virus, all on-site employees follow cleaning procedures at the start and end of each day in addition to the daily scheduled janitorial cleanings. The office has been fortified with Plexiglas barriers, social distancing signage and markers, and sanitation supplies. All customers entering our office are required to wear a face mask, are temperature checked, and hand-sanitizing solutions are also made available for employees and customers,” says their new release.

They are encouraging customers to contact the Dededo office at 632-6316 for any inquiries.

“We anticipate reopening our office as soon as practically possible and apologize to our customers for any inconveniences that this may cause.  We also ask our customers and employees to continue observing the safety protocols as guided by the Guam Department of Public Health, and the CDC.”
