The NAVFAC introduced Capt. Stephanie Jones as the new commanding officer.
Guam – There will be a change of leadership at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas.
The Change of Command ceremony is a tradition as both former commanding officer Capt. Glenn Shepard and current commanding officer jones presented themselves before a crowd of family, friends, and colleagues. During his opening statement, former commanding officer Capt. Shepard touted the NAVFAC achievements during his tenure.
“The men and women of NAVFAC Marianas deserve pause, for enabling support in commanders mission success and magnificently executed your record at the fastest pace with construction work in place, relentlessly pursued excellence against unique cultural and natural resource requirements and improved utility and facility condition and configuration and brought fidelity and accountability to asset and financial management control programs, I am so proud of them, said Shepard
Next, Capt. Jones had some words for her future staff.
“As Admiral Muilenberg referenced and probably as you feel everyday, we have a lot to do we have a lot of challenges but I can tell from your professionalism, your dedication to the mission that we wont just get it done, its absolutely clear to me we will excel and we will set the standards for others to emulate,” said Jones
