Guam – Guam Supreme Court Chief Justice Philip Carbullido has issued a challenge to the Guam Bar Association to provide pro bono services to island residents.
In his speech at the annual Bar Association meeting today [Tuesday] at the Fiesta Resort, Justice Carbullido spoke about the “desperate need” for legal services for people who can not afford them.

In addition to delivering the keynote address. CJ Carbullido also presented a Judicial Council Resolution to Chief Justice Emeritus Robert J. Torres recognizing the wealth of contributions to the Judiciary that were made during his three year tenure as Chief Justice.
And Justice Carbullido also swore in the members of the Board of Governors for the 2011-2013 term.
The Board members are Michael A. Pangelinan, Vice-President; Maria T. Cenzon, Secretary; Georgette B. Concepcion, Treasurer; Cynthia V. Ecube, President; John C. Terlaje, Member-At-Large; and Hank Parker, Member-At-Large.
