On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, officers assigned to the Southern Precinct Command entertained a Reckless Conduct complaint that occurred at a home along Ernest P. Santos Street, in Talofofo.

Preliminary reports suggest that upon officers’ arrival they noted, 32-year-old Carl Florence Eucogco Gargarita on the ground with lacerated injuries to his left arm.

Gargarita has had previous run-ins with the law, the most recent of which was an arrest for terrorizing in March of this year.

Officers later learned that an argument ensued with Gargarita and a female individual.

Through the course of the argument, Gargarita retrieved a shotgun from the residence and threatened the female individual while pointing the shotgun at her. Officers further learned that the injuries sustained to Carl Gargarita were a result of him punching the windows to the victim’s car.

Carl Gargarita was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment and care. He was later discharged and arrested for the following offenses:

-Reckless Conduct
-Family Violence
-Criminal Mischief
-Child Abuse
-Possession or Carry a Firearm Without a Valid Identification

Carl Gargarita was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
