The Archdiocese of Agana has decided to close all Catholic schools today, Monday, March 16.
Early Monday morning Tony C. Diaz, the Archdiocese’s Director of Communications, announced that Catholic schools have been added to the island-wide list of schools which will NOT have classes today. Catholic schools will be closed until further notice, he said.
The Archdiocese’s Superintendent of Catholic Education made that determination after consulting with the Governor’s Office which strongly recommended the move in light of the declaration of a public health emergency due to COVID-19.
Dr. Juan Flores will meet with principals today and will also be part of a planned meeting between superintendents and Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero.
Further updates to the public will be announced later today.
