CCU Recognizes Finegayan Elementary for Saving Water


Guam – The Consolidated Commission on Utilities (CCU) at their November 29th meeting awarded Finegayan Elementary School recognition for outstanding water reduction efforts at the school. 

“We want to reward and recognize our big consumers of water (and eventually power) who are working to save our resources and lower their usage”, Chairman Sanchez said.  “We have saved hundreds of thousands of gallons of water over the last several months”, said Evangeline Iglesias Principal of Finegayan Elementary.

“We have saved almost 4k on our water bill alone each month since we found our leaks and capped  them.” Iglesias went on to say.  “We are thrilled with the progress of  Finegayan and we hope more schools will get aboard this water saving program which will end up helping all of our island.” Sanchez concluded.
