CDC – Guam reaches low risk covid category

Last night, the Leon Guerrero-Tenorio administration announced that Guam has officially reached COVID Community Level Low.

In accordance with Executive Order 2022-09, if the risk level is sustained for 14 days, several restrictions will be lifted.

Notably, the outdoor mask mandate will be lifted, but the indoor restriction will remain.

Other mandates that will be lifted will be restrictions on social gatherings and social distancing requirements, whether indoors or outdoors.

In a statement, the Governor emphasized that the lifting of restrictions does not mean the public health emergency is over and that the public should remain vigilant. She states, “It is critical that we continue to ease out of emergency measures to ensure continuity of the operations and services our island relies upon.”

If the current risk level is maintained, the restrictions will be lifted at 12:01 am on April 19.

Following an additional 14 days of sustained risk level, the indoor mask mandate will be lifted. That would be May 3.
