Music tells the stories of Chamorros in the U.S. Military
Guam – Music has always been a part of Chamorro tradition and it’s a part of story telling too. That’s why the Guam Humanities Council is marking the end of its Journey Stories and Sindalu Exhibits with a closing reception called Music and Memory.
SINDALU
Journey stories is a traveling Smithsonian Exhibit explaining how transportation and migration changed American lives. Sindalu is the local companion exhibit which explores the journeys of Chamorro men and women in the U.S. Military.
The closing reception will be held on the first floor of the Agana Shopping Center at 6pm Saturday. Johnny Sablan & Dave Guevara, Candy Taman, and Daniel De Leon Guerrero will perform at the event.
