Chef Inasal collects donations for Taal volcano victims

Jeffrey Lavarino, the owner and executive chef of Chef Inasal, hopes to recover from the virus' economic impact.

The volcanic and seismic activity in the Taal volcano area may have diminished since the eruption last week but residents now face the difficult task of rebuilding their lives.

On Guam, several initiatives have been organized to assist these communities.

Local restaurant Chef Inasal’s owner, Jeffrey Lavarino, spoke to PNC about one of these ongoing campaigns to help those affected by the eruption.

“On behalf of Chef Inasal, we are asking for your donation to help the victims of Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines. We are accepting non-perishable goods, used clothing, masks, even water. Anything that can help the victims of the volcano,” Lavarino said.

For those who would like to contribute, you may drop off your donations at Chef’s Inasal BBQ House at the East-West Business Center in Tamuning.
