Child Support re-issues almost $60,000

As part of an effort to help families get the financial support that they need to raise their children, the Child Support Enforcement Division has given almost $60,000 to parents entitled to that money.

This money came out of the CSED’s $5 million undistributed collections fund, which consists of payments that could not be dispersed due to families either changing their contact information or place of residence.

The Office of the Attorney General, in a news release, has requested for specific funding to allow for the hiring of additional staff for the division so that they can return the money to their rightful owners as quickly as possible.
