Guam – Christmas gifts will fall from the sky over Micronesian Islands again this Holiday Season as the Air Force continues a 58-year year old tradition they call Operation Christmas Drop.
The Air Force Plans to fly from Guam to drop boxes onto 50 islands spread throughout the Micronesian Islands including Yap, Chuuk, and Palau during the week of December 13th.
Donation boxes have been placed at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort, Kmart, The Micronesian Diver’s Association, and locations on Andersen Air Force Base.
The public is welcome and encourage to bring gifts to drop-off locations. Hand tools, fishing equipment, snorkeling gear and clothing are the most requested items.
Donation Boxes will remain in place until December 8th.
