During Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero’s online news conference on Wednesday, April 8 the governor recognized another COVID Hero.
The COVID Hero was Clark’s Mart in Dededo, which has sinks for their customers to wash their hands in before entering the store.
The governor commended them for being considerate about the community.
“In real life, heroes don’t wear capes. Sometimes they wear scrubs, EMT uniforms … sometimes they run a small mom and pop shop and operate a sink for their customers. Today’s COVID Hero is Clark’s Mart in Dededo. Getting essential items should not be an added risk, especially in these uncertain times,” the governor said.
The governor is encouraging residents to use the hashtag #COVIDHeroesGU on their social media posts…to highlight individuals, groups, and businesses who are stepping up to assist the island’s COVID-19 response efforts.
