CMCC Meeting Postponed; Governor Awaits Guam First Commission Nominations from Chamber & Chamorro Affairs


Guam – According to a release from the governor’s office the second meeting of the civil-military coordination council or CMCC has been postponed until a later date.


 The CMCC is the entity tasked with reporting on the progress of the buildup and making recommendations to DOD on how to prevent the buildup from happening at a pace that Guam cannot handle. It is part of DOD’s adaptive program management. It will serve as the interface between DOD the governments’ of Guam and CNMI, federal agencies, and the public for all construction related issues. The governor’s release also states that he is awaiting the selection of two members to the Guam First Commission. The Guam Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Chamorro affairs have yet to nominate their appointees to the commission.
