Inos-Torres pulled through with 46.6% of the votes
Guam – It looks like that CNMI will be holding a Gubernatorial run off, after last night’s results put Inos/Torres only slightly ahead of their opponents.
Incumbent Governor Eloy Inos and his running mate Ralph Torres pulled through with 6,342 votes, while challengers Heinz Hofschneider and Ray Yumul received 4,501 votes.
That means the Inos/Torres team only 46.6% of votes cast, according to unofficial numbers. A lead of 50-plus one is needed to prevent a run off election.
The Inos/Torres team would have needed 558 more votes to have the 50% plus one majority.
