CNMI Police Release Positive ID’s on Both Murder Victims

Guam – Polcie in the CNMI have issued the following release which confirms the positive identifications of the chinese couple who were found murdered in their San Vicente home on Saipan last Saturday.

On December 13, 2012 a family friend familiar with the dead couple offered his assistance to help Police positively identify the male victim.

Positive identification of Mr. Yang, Jun Li, Chinese male, age 50, was made on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 3:47 pm, to Police by a close friend of Mr. Yang. Mr. Yang is the husband of the deceased female (Ms. Liu, Jing) who was positively identified by Police earlier this week.

The Division of Youth Services (DYS) still has the couple’s 6-year old son in protective custody pending the notification of next of kin. Police have provided photos with hopes that the through the media, anyone with information can contact the Police at 664-9001. Local and Federal Law Enforcement agencies continue to work in collaboration with regards to processing of the crime scene, and the couple’s car (White 2010 Honda CRV) that was recovered at Micro Beach, Garapan.
