Guam – Coast360 Maite Headquarters design and build garnered top awards for builder dck Pacific Guam at the Guam Contractors Association Excellence in Construction/ Guam Business Contractor of the Year Awards held last Saturday at the Hyatt.
dck pacific guam was awarded three awards for their work on the Coast360 Headquarters: Excellence in Construction – $10 million to $25 million Commercial Category; Excellence in Construction – For Building a Greener Tomorrow Through Leadership in Energy and Environmental Designs (LEED) Initiatives and the 2010 First Place Overall Project Award.
As the overall winner, the Guam Contractors Association will submit the dck entry to compete in the Associated Builders & Contractor’s (ABC) 2010 National Excellence in Construction Awards that will be held in San Diego, CA. in February 2011. ABC is a national association of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other construction vendors representing more than 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms in 79 chapters across the United States.

dck was awarded the $16.7 million Coast 360 Federal Credit Union project on April 30, 2009 for the construction of the first LEED certified commercial building on Guam. The building is a 3 level 48,000 square feet concrete structure. Site work included parking areas, driveways, landscaping and storm water control. Construction commenced May 2009 and Certificate of Occupancy was issued on October 1, 2010.
Along with dck, Bishman Continental Services and LMS Guam were also recognized at the GCA Awards for their work on the Coast360 Headquarters: Bishman Continental Services was awarded third place for its electrical work in the under $2million commercial category and LMS Guam for sitework/landscape/hardscape designs.
