Guam – 2012 brings three “GOLDEN” landmark events for Coast 360.
The financial institution: Coast360 turns 50, Coast360’s headquarters building earned Gold LEED certification and Coast360 welcomes a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Coast 360, formerly the Government of Guam Employees Federal Credit Union, has been building lifetime relationships since its inception in 1962. Although, the name may have changed, it continues to grow in size and its mission of serving its members remains the same today — for the past 50 years and the future years to come.
Secondly, award of the GOLD LEED CERTIFICATION. Certification is based among five major credit categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Coast 360 received a Gold LEED certification, the second highest level achievable.
Coast360 welcomes the new CEO, Mr. Richard Northey, to the team. Prior to joining Coast 360, Northey was the Executive Vice President Head of Commercial Banking for ANZ Guam Inc. where he was responsible for managing the lending and deposit activities of commercial and corporate customers. He joined the company, then Citizens Security Bank, in 1996 as the Senior Vice President of Credit Administration. Since then he has led the bank’s commercial banking activities. Prior to that, he was a senior loan officer for the Federated States of Micronesia Development Bank in Kolonia, Pohnpei. He holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Oregon and a Master’s in General Management from St. Mary’s College.
