Cold Case Unit Cracks Another One, Arrest Made in 22 Year Old Murder Case

Guam – The Guam Police Department today [Friday] announced that GPD’s Cold Case Unit has cracked another murder case with the arrest of 51 year old Vincent Peter Rosario Camacho of Dededo.

According to a release from GPD’s Public Information Officer Mercy Grino, Camacho was arrested this morning at 11 am for murder in connection with the 1988 shooting death of William “Bill” Pablo Mesa, a crime that occured 22 years ago.

Camacho has been booked and confined.

No further information was provided.

Earlier this week, Edward T. Megofna entered a guilty plea in Superior Court to his involvement in the 1998 murder of Huen Sun Kennedy.

His plea was the result of another investigation by the Cold Case Unit which was able to match Megofna’s DNA with samples taken from the homicide scene.
