Micronesian Brokers Inc. says you can donate to the Bright Smiles Bright Futures program by purchasing Colgate at participating BSBF stores.
Guam – Elementary school students are now smiling a little bit brighter thanks to Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program.
Micronesian Brokers and the Guam Department of Education kicked off the BSBF campaign with a special event at the Micronesia Mall over the weekend. With the program going on its fourth year, Colgate again donated 15-thousand tooth brushes and 15-thousand tubes of tooth paste to the 26 elementary schools on island this year. The dental kits also include teaching materials that emphasize the importance of oral health in the over-all health of both children and adults.
GDOE Superintendent Jon Fernandez says, “At DOE, we want to make sure our kids succeed but in order to do that, they have to be healthy and well. So it’s important that dental health is a part of it so they can learn and to be able to maintain their dental health so when they come to school they don’t have to worry about tooth aches and want them to know their teeth are well taken care of so they can focus on what they’re supposed to learn.”
