Commander of Guam Based Submarine Relieved of Duty

The Commander of the USS Oklahoma was relieved of his duties as commander. 

Guam – Also in military news a commanding officer of a submarine stationed on Guam has been relieved of his duty.

 

 

According to navy.mil the commanding officer of the Guam based fast attack submarine USS Oklahoma city was “relieved of his duties” on January 6th due to a “loss of confidence in his ability to command.” That commanding officer was Cmdr. Mike Conner and he was removed by Capt. Jeffrey Grimes the commander of Submarine Squadron 15 which is based on Guam at the Polaris Point. Conner was in command of the USS Oklahoma City since December 2013. He has been reassigned to the staff of the Commander of Submarine Squadron 15.
