The community is invited to a full day of cultural, educational, and interactive activities tomorrow at the University of Guam campus as the university celebrates its 52nd Charter Day with the theme “Local Inspiration, Global Impact.”

The annual celebration features campus-wide activities for visitors of all ages, including campus tours, demonstrations by the UOG Army ROTC cadets, live music and dancing performances, children’s activities, cultural and academic competitions, educational exhibits and displays, and a library book sale and Triton Store open house.

The schedule also includes the 2nd Annual Tech Fest by the university’s Office of Information Technology. Tech Fest showcases modern technology through exhibits, guest speakers, interactive experiences (including a virtual reality room and a PC-building workshop), and a first-time Esports competition.

The opening ceremony will be at 9 a.m. in the center courtyard of the campus. A full schedule of activities is available at

The annual Charter Day celebration marks the anniversary of the university’s founding in 1952 and the signing of the charter that renamed the Territorial College of Guam to the University of Guam in 1968.
