Complaint: Man arrested for damaging karaoke lounge door

Guam Police Department officers on April 19 responded to a physical disturbance complaint at a karaoke lounge in Yigo, according to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam.

GPD received numerous calls that a man was at the location, smashing the front door of the lounge.

Dominic Choay, 32, who was later identified and located sitting in a vehicle. He eventually complied after being told numerous times by police to exit the vehicle.

An employee told officers that Choay damaged the door of the bar and ran outside of the lounge after he damaged the door, and chased people who were outside the bar area.

Choay used a white cue ball to damage the door, resulting in the door shattering.

The cue ball was confiscated by police.

A man chased by Choay fell and scuffed his knee, court documents state.

After GPD conducted a scene check and observed that the glass door appeared to be cracked and small pieces of glass were scattered by the door.

Choay was charged with assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct; all as a misdemeanor.
