DPHSS: Computer “Time Out” Messages Plaguing Guam & Hawaii Retailers; They’re Working On It


Guam – Department of Public Health Director James Gillan has sent out a release announcing that J.P. Morgan Electronic Financial Services has advised his office that they have received a large number of complaints from retailers on Guam and in Hawaii who use computers to process credit and debit card payments.

According to the release computer users have been reporting the error message “Time Out Denied” when retailers try and process sales transactions.

Gillan reports that J.P. Morgan Chase has acknowledged the problem and they are working on it.

The release advises retailers who are experiencing this problem to call the Issuance Section at 735-7438/7433/7432.
