Congresswoman Madeleine Borallo says Defense Deputy Secretary Robert Work is keeping up on the China Visa-Waiver issue for Guam.
Bordallo says, according to a release, that Work provided her with an update on his efforts on the issue following his trip to Guam in August.
She says they are not letting up on the commitment to find ways to provide visa-free travel for Chinese visitors.
Back in June, Bordallo and Governor Calvo wrote a joint letter to Work, asking him to renew the Department of Defense’s push for the Guam-CNMI visa waiver with China
Guam has been leading the China visa waiver program initiative for about five years now and still waiting for Washington D.C. to make a decision.
