Continental To Operate 9 Charters from 4 Chinese Cities During Chinese New Year

Guam – Continental Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Continental Holdings, has announced that it will operate a charter service of nine round-trip flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenyang in China, to Guam during Chinese New Year in 2011, subject to government approval. Continental will operate the flights using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 14 business and 141 economy class seats.
Matt Miller, Continental’s managing director for Asia-Pacific said, “Continental was the first airline to operate non-stop charter service from mainland China to Guam in 2008, and I am delighted to announce that between January and February 2011 we will fly the route for the fourth consecutive year during the Chinese New Year season.

This service will continue to promote Guam as a beautiful and attractive beach destination for travelers in China, one of the
world’s fastest-growing markets for leisure travel. Our sales and marketing teams in China remain committed to promoting Guam travel, and these flights truly demonstrate Continental’s strong commitment to the Micronesia islands.”
