Wendy’s Barrigada branch was closed temporarily due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Wendy’s management, they were informed that three employees at its Barrigada location tested positive for COVID-19 through contact tracing.
“Wendy’s Guam is communicating with and supporting these employees. They are
now in quarantine, receiving the care and treatment necessary for their recovery.
We are in touch with the Department of Public Health & Social Services (DPHSS)
and following local and CDC guidelines and procedures. We have also asked
employees who are considered close contact to get tested and provide negative
results before returning to work,” Wendy’s stated.
The Barrigada store was temporarily closed yesterday for additional deep cleaning and sanitizing of the work areas and common spaces. This morning, the store voluntarily closed for breakfast to allow staff to get tested.
“The health, safety, and well-being of our employees and community are our priorities. We anticipate opening this afternoon, July 7, and will try to minimize disruptions in our hours of operation. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe,” Wendy’s stated in a post on its Facebook page.
