COVID Update for January 5th, 2022



According to the latest data from the Joint Information Center, the Department of Public Health and Social Services reported 189 new cases of Covid-19 on January 4th.
There are a total of 13 patients hospitalized in Guam. 9 are vaccinated and 4 are unvaccinated. Currently, there are no patients in the ICU.

To date, there have been a total of 20,088 officially reported cases, 273 deaths, and 808 cases in active isolation. Up 189 active cases from January 4th’s report. Accordingly, The CAR Score has increased from 22.2 to 37.9

As of January 5th, a total of 129,906 of Guam’s eligible population are fully vaccinated. 3,094 children 5 to 11 years old have completed their two-dose series. 40,287 booster shots have been administered to eligible residents since September 29, 2021.
