Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Agaña Heights Home Invasion

CRIME OF THE WEEK:

ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST, AT ABOUT 8:46 IN THE EVENING, OFFICERS FROM THE HAGATNA PRECINCT COMMAND RESPONDED TO 152 JOSEPH CRUZ AVENUE IN HAGANA HEIGHTS RELATIVE TO A HOME INVASION.

ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT:

AT AROUND 830 IN THE EVENING THE TWO ELDERLY VICTIMS WERE WITHIN THE LIVING ROOM AREA OF THEIR RESIDENCE WATCHING T.V. WHEN THEY HEARD A KNOCK AT THE DOOR.  ONE OF THE VICTIMS INQUIRED AS TO WHO IT WAS BUT RECEIVED NO ANSWER.  THE VICTIM THEN OPENED THE DOOR TO SEE WHO IT WAS, WHEN THE DOOR WAS FORCED OPENED AND A MALE INDIVIDUAL BEGAN ASSAULTING HER WITH A LAMP.  DURING THE ASSAULT, THE VICTIM REACTED BY PUSHING AGAINST THE SUSPECT WHICH ALLOWED HER TIME TO RUN INTO HER BEDROOM TO CALL 911.  SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE VICTIM EMERGED FROM THE BEDROOM, WHERE SHE DISCOVERED HER MOTHER ON THE FLOOR AND HER PURSE MISSING FROM THE KITCHEN TABLE. AS A RESULT OF THE ASSAULT, BOTH VICTIMS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE GUAM MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR THEIR INJURIES.  THE COMMUNITY FROM AGANA HEIGHTS, THE GUAM POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE GUAM CRIME STOPPERS IS REACHING OUT TO THE ISLAND FOR THEIR HELP IN THIS CASE.
