Another restaurant on island is closing but not because of economic reasons but because of a COVID-19 infection.
Crust Pizzeria Napoletana has issued a statement in its social media pages saying they have identified a positive case among the restaurant’s staff.
“We care about the health and well-being of everyone that enters our doors; including our very own staff,” Crust stated.
The restaurant is taking all precautions including the testing of all staff, continuous sanitation of the whole restaurant, and the temporary ceasing of operations effective today Aug. 5 while the staff and management wait for the test results.
“You trust us to take care of you when you are in our restaurant. We must continually earn that trust by taking every measure possible to ensure your safety,” the statement added.
The restaurant plans to resume operations once they have completed all safety measures.
According to Krystal Paco-San Agustin, the Department of Public Health and Social Services has already initiated contact tracing and close contacts will be notified.
