Guam – The merits of the cases against 4 of the seven fired Port Authority employees will not be heard until next year.

The CSC set the dates Tuesday with the first case heard in May and the others set for the following months through October of 2014.

The dates are:

* Bernadette Meno  May 1, 3, 6, 8, 16, 22, 29, June 3 of 2014

* Leonora Leon Guerrero June 12,17,19,14 of 2014

* Francine Rocio August 28-September 18 of 2014

* Vivian Leon September 23, 25, 30, October 2, 7, 9 and 10 of 2014
* Josette Javalosa’s status hearing is set for next week, August 13 at 2pm

All of the employees lost their motions for dismissal based on the 60-day rule violation. Their hearings next year will focus on the merits of the case.

A total of seven employees were dismissed for an alleged scheme to defraud the Port Authority of a worker’s compensation claim made by, but never paid out to, former marketing manager Bernadette Meno. The case also led to the termination of then Port GM Mary Torres, who was replaced by Joanne Brown.

Two other Port employees, Jojo Guevara and Frances Arriola, prevailed on their 60-day rule motions, but it’s not clear when or if they will be reinstated at the Port Authority.
