Catholic Social Service has announced that on Friday, October 15th, they will be partnering with Guahan Sustainable Culture (GSC) in support of World Food Day 2021.

World Food Day commemorates the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) 76 years ago. This internationally recognized day promotes awareness of world hunger and food security issues, while celebrating the “food heroes” whose mission is to end them.

GSC will be providing several local fruit and vegetable seedlings to twelve CSS program locations to be planted by staff, clients, and volunteers on Friday.

Program clients will be able to cultivate, harvest, and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables while learning the importance of food sustainability for our future.

CSS has been working with Guahan Sustainable Culture since 2019 to support local farmers and to provide fresh produce to families in need.
