Administered by the Department of Administration, the Homeowners Assistance Fund Program opened pre-applications for its second cycle on Monday. The pre-application period will run until Friday, April 22.
The HAF offers up to $15,000 in financial support to homeowners who have struggled to keep current on mortgages and housing expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Qualified homeowners who received the full $15,000 payment in HAF Cycle 1 are not eligible for HAF Cycle 2.
Acting Governor Josh Tenorio comments, “We have worked diligently to distribute $1.2 million in relief funds to assist 310 homeowners and cover overdue payments for their mortgages, utilities, or property taxes.”
To qualify for assistance, eligible applicants must have experienced reduced income or an increase in living expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic after January 21, 2020.
Applications are available for download at doa.guam.gov or can be picked up at the HAF office on the 2nd Floor, Suite 215, of the ITC Building in Tamuning.
