Guam – The Tamuning Typhoons Basketball Club together with the Office of the Mayor for Tamuning-Tumon-Harmon, Aloha Maid, ACAS and Guam Community Tennis Association (GCTA) is hosting its 3rd annual “Dad and Me Fun Run Road Race” promoting exercise and teamwork on Fathers Day June 19 at Tamuning Gym.
“The Dad and Me Fun Run is an annual fundraiser the club looks forward to celebrating Father’s Day with the kids and their dad’s early in the morning,” said event coordinator Elsa Ulloa. She adds that the club encourages Dad’s to step out of their routine and participate with their child to exercise and spend quality time together in a healthy and positive environment.
The Guam Running Club are officiating the race that will start and end at Tamuning Gym. Show time is at 5:45am and go time is at 6:15am. GCTA professional coach Dan Tinsay will lead the warm ups inside the gym prior to go time.
The awards presentation will take place at the conclusion of the race inside the gym in addition to prize giveaways being issued. Registration takes place at Tamuning Gym today and tomorrow 8am to 6pm.
Pre-registration is $7 while a group of 5 is $30. The cost to register on race day is $10. T-shirts will be issued to the first 100 finishers.
