The Deputy Director of DPW, Felix Benavente, cautions drivers to drive slowly over the manhole, which should be covered in the next few hours.
Guam – A northbound lane near the East Agana Mobil gas station has closed due to a cracked manhole cover.
The road was closed off when a GPD officer noticed the hazard and immediately called the Department of Public Works (DPW), according to Oyaol Ngirairikl, Director of Communications at the Office of the Governor of Guam.
Felix Benavente, Deputy Director of DPW says the road has been secured with cones. He also says DPW engineers are currently tracking down people to cover the manhole with steel plates.
Benavente cautions drivers to drive slowly over the steel plates, which should be in place in the next few hours.
“And we will keep the public updated should any other issues arise that could impact their drive.”
