dck pacific construction was born in 1939 as Pacific Construction and since then it has been a vital part of Hawaii’s growth. Today, it is a subsidiary of dck worldwide, a global construction company that is capable of managing the entire construction process from conception, financing, planning and designing through construction. Over the years, dck pacific has worked on a number of iconic projects, including the First Hawaiian Bank tower, the tallest building in the Islands, and the Hawaii Regional Security Operations Center, the largest contract issued by NAVFAC in Hawaii. The company handles work around the Pacific region, including award-winning retail, hospitality, health care and military projects in Hawaii, Guam and across the Pacific Rim.

Other significant projects dck pacific is working on this year include the renovation of a five-level hospital building and Clinical Service Center at The Queen’s Medical Center West Oahu, construction of a replacement air cargo facility and aircraft maintenance hangar for Hawaiian Airlines, and design-build construction of four Grow the Army projects at Schofield Barracks’ South Range. The new Bingham Parking Garage at Kapi‘olani Medical Center that dck pacific constructed was recently awarded the LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

dck pacific has supported numerous community organizations and initiatives in its 75-year history, including an annual golf tournament whose proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations. In 2013, dck pacific donated proceeds it raised from the golf tournament to beneficiaries Kapi‘olani Medical Center, Castle Medical Center, The Queen’s Medical Center and the American Heart Association. The 2014 golf tournament is planned in June and will mark its 17th year of giving back to the community.
