The body of a dead man was recovered from the back seat of a silver Honda sedan Monday morning. The vehicle was parked behind the Micronesia Mall parking garage in Dededo.
The victim inside the vehicle was seen to be an adult male. A trail of what appeared to be dried blood on the pavement stretched from the left rear door of the vehicle down into the parking lot.
The area was cordoned off with yellow tape. Officers at the scene declined to comment.
Guam fire personnel dressed in protective gear removed the man’s body shortly after 10 a.m. The vehicle was then towed away.
GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao issued a brief statement saying that an injured person investigation has been launched.
The cause of death is not known at this time and no further details have been released.
