Dead man found along the road in Yigo; investigation launched

On December 02, 2021, at about 3:50 a.m., Guam Police Department’s (GPD) patrol
officers from the Dededo Precinct received the call of a person lying on the ground
along Rt. 1 and Chalan Pale Ramon, Yigo.

Officers arrived and met with Guam Fire Department Personnel, who said the
person was unconscious and unresponsive upon their arrival. Guam Highway Patrol
Division’s traffic investigators were activated, they conducted their assessment, and
they found that the incident was not a traffic-related fatality.

The Guam Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section was later activated,
assumed the investigation, and classified the case as a death investigation.

The victim is a local male in his early 20s and has yet to be positively identified by his next of kin.

The Guam Police Department is seeking assistance from the community to call 671-
475-8615 thru 7 if anyone has any information or witnessed any unusual incident within
the general area.
