Deadly shooting in Dededo

Guam – Dealing with the most violent criminal offenders who are on the run from the law, the Taotaomona Fugitive Task Force tracked down one man on Monday afternoon. With the ongoing investigation, details of how the incident went down have yet to be disclosed by the authorities.

Guam Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao told K57’s Patti Arroyo that around 1:30 p.m. Monday, detectives from GPD’s Criminal Investigation Division were called to assist Superior court marshals with a reported incident in the Sagan Linahyan area of Astumbo.

An individual was transported to Guam Regional Medical City at around 2:24 p.m., according to Tapao. The unnamed individual had “succumbed to his injuries” and pronounced dead.

While the identity of the shooting victim has not been disclosed. Police are now moving forward with a shooting investigation.

“Our detectives have yet to include all pertinent interviews relative to this case they are going to continue throughout the day and we are going to continue to support the Superior Court Marshals in any way and of course vice versa,” Tapao said.

“I can’t disclose any information at this time because we have yet to determine the actual shooter and everything but as it develops we will provide information at that time,” Tapao said.
