Guam – The decomposed body of what police believe to be a man was found along the Harmon cliff line Saturday morning.
The body was discovered near the Model Airplane Field at NCS. The identity of the person has not yet been officially released.
GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia says the Guam Fire Department first got the call about the expired body and GFD in turn advised police. GPD has launched a death investigation.
The cause of death could not be determined “do to the composition of the body,” states Officer Balajadia. An autopsy will be performed, possibly on Tuesday, because Monday is a GovGuam holiday and all offices, including the Medical Examiner’s office, are closed.
Police have not yet confirmed whether the remains are linked to a recent missing person report. On November 7th, 56 year old Joey D. Asuncion was reported missing.
Asuncion’s vehicle was found at a ranch off the old Corral Road in Dededo, which is near the model airplane field. The keys were found inside the vehicle and police said at the time there was no sign of foul play.
