An employee of the Dededo mayor’s office was arrested after he threatened and shot a man with a BB gun last week, all because the victim didn’t want to leave.
Dededo mayor’s office employee Daniel Vincent Savares has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
The victim told police that he was sitting at the former Dededo precinct with his niece when Savares told them to leave and threatened to shoot them.
Savares allegedly retrieved a BB gun from his vehicle and fired off several rounds, the victim counting at least five shots fired.
The victim was struck twice once in the chest and his thumb. Police noticed a pool of blood at the scene with a round BB bullet.
Savares told police that the victim refused to leave, began cursing, threatened to hurt him, and threw an object at his vehicle, prompting him to shoot at the victim twice. Savares was booked and confined.
