The Department of Agriculture (DOAG) is has announced the first-ever “Field to Fork – Binadu” hunt that will take place November 20, 2021.

The binadu hunt will showcase Guam’s hunters’ skills as they compete to bring in the biggest deer by weight, in either the Archery or Firearms categories. Hunters will be solely responsible for their harvested deer.

The intent of Field to Fork: Binadu is to promote safe, responsible and ethical hunter development and to help facilitate the 3 Rs: Recruit new hunters; Retain current hunters; and Reactivate former hunters

Field to Fork: Binadu Registration forms will be available through DOAG’s website  https://doag.guam.gov/resource/ .  Forms will also be available for pick up at the Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR) office.   Participants may fill out the forms and bring them, along with a valid picture ID, to the Mandatory Safety Briefing for submission.  Please call 735-0294 for accepted forms of identification.

Participants must have a FY22 Hunting License to participate in the derby. A current Firearms ID is required if hunting will be conducted with a firearm. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to register.

All registration, safety briefing, and hunt day information are included in a chart on the next page.  The purpose of this event and others like it is to encourage the Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation of hunters in Guam.

“Our DOAG is so excited to bring this event to our hunting community!  We look forward to developing positive relationships with all Guam’s hunters and evolving our programs into true Game Management,” states Department of Agriculture Director Chelsa Muna-Brecht.

Field to Fork – Binadu is funded by the Guam Hunter Education Program, through a grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Wildlife and Sportfish Restoration Grant Program.
