Dept of Ag Seeks $69K Federal Grant for Marine Turtle Program

Guam – The Department of Agriculture submitted a federal grant application to the Guam State Clearinghouse (GSC) requesting $69,434 from the Department of Commerce’s Pacific Islands Region Marine Turtle Program, CFDA 11.454.

The program will fund the Guam Sea Turtle Recovery Program.

The program will collect information on population size, nesting, genetics and distribution of sea turtles in and around Guam. Additionally, the department, through the Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources will conduct an educational campaign and other outreach activities showcasing the importance of the sea turtle to the island.

Using the GSC State Application Identifier, 01611041137Y, a summary of the application may be viewed or downloaded upon request to the Guam State Clearinghouse.
